Exactly! Settling for the wrong person will have you searching for peace (desperately). It will only bring you pain, and it’s funny how they manage to do that! Like you said, life is too short to not DO YOU.
"Please don't cringe too much to like me." line was too real. Because I could see foolish me doing this, now me tho. I don't plan on staying like that, it's pathetic and looks desperate.
While I can't relate to the talking stage, never been in one. I think being stuck with two adults is so close to hell especially when they're both on your case, I'm happy you survived that 😂. Reading this was healing, warm and heart melting. I'm a romantic, I think love every minute every day, all year round. But I've felt it just once and for one person my entire life, funny? It was mutual tho, but nothing happened, and since then I haven't tried, I've just been living and admiring from a distance. Idk about every other human, but I just feel that for me, when my heart sees somebody that will reignite the same feeling I felt hopelessly in jss1, I'll know that this is it. So, as much as I rant and ramble about being single, I'm weirdly not worried about love, because I love love already. So now I just live, and read and binge watch my romcom and catch butterflies for other couples. Feels like I wrote an entire Substack for a comment, don't mind me. Just ease up, hm. It will all fall in to place, with God at the forefront.
